Llano is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It has all the great attributes of a small town, but is only a short driving distance from the resources of two large cities (about 70 miles to Austin and about 90 miles to San Antonio). If you enjoy the outdoors, Llano will provide access to an activity of your liking - golf, camping, fishing (Llano River, Highland Lakes), boating, hunting or a drive in the countryside. The Llano Independent School District and the Llano Memorial Hospital are great assets to the community, both having excellent reputations. If you are looking for a place to raise a family or retire, you should consider Llano. Llano has many of the same great attributes as neighboring Fredericksburg, Kerrville and Marble Falls but with just a little less congestion.
